Say Hello Week 2017

Say Hello Week is sponsored by the Sandy Hook Promise. Its purpose is to help all students feel included and to raise awareness concerning young people who feel left out, alone, or invisible in their school. This week we started out with a Mix Your Cliques Photo Booth where students had their pictures taken with other students that they did not know very well. On Wednesday, we celebrated friendships with the Hello Wall. Students wrote hello messages to people they knew and didn’t know very well. On Friday, we ended the week with No One Eats Alone Day. Ambassadors handed out bracelets, stickers, and napkins to students who were making an effort to sit by someone that they didn’t normally sit by.

By participating in Start with Hello Week, students were empowered to create a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
