English Teacher
I am an honor graduate of Magnet Cove High School. I graduated from Henderson State University with a BSE, a minor in science, and certification in Special Education P-12.
In May of 2000, I received a Bachelor's of Science in Education. I am certified to teach Special Education P-12, Elementary Education 1-4, Middle School Science 5-8, and Middle School Social Studies 5-8.
I began teaching in the Malvern School District in 2000. This year marks my 15th year teaching. I teach Inclusion English and Resource English for 7th and 8th grade.
I have three children. My oldest child, Jacob, is currently serving in the United States Navy as a CTN and works at the National Security Agency at Fort Meade in Maryland. Jacob is 2013 honor graduate of Malvern School District. The math, science, and technology departments of MHS helped prepare Jacob for a highly competitive career in cyber security. My middle child, Kelsey, is a senior at MHS. Laekyn, my youngest, is a 5th grader at Wilson.
Our pets consist of a Standard Poodle named Ollie, a Yorkshire Terrier named Toto, and a Ragdoll cat named Rags.
I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with my family.
