I graduated from Malvern High School in 1981. After graduation, I attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR and graduated in 1985. After teaching for 14 years, I decided to return to school to become a school counselor. I attended Henderson State University, also in Arkadelphia, AR and earned my Masters in Education in Secondary School Counseling.
I am currently the Middle School Counselor; I started at MMS in 2012, the same year that we moved into the new building on East Donnely Street. I have been with Malvern School District for twenty three years, working as an English teacher, Spanish teacher, yearbook sponsor, and school counselor.
Prior to working for Malvern School District, I taught for five years at Benton High School. My first counseling position was at Cutter-Morning Star HIgh School where I worked for four years prior to moving to Malvern High School as the counselor.
In 2011, I became certified in Equine-assisted Learning through the EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) organization and 2012 I certified through the O.K. Corral series. I facilitate group and individual sessions at my ranch in Malvern.
